The key virtues that guide this community and our philosophy are prudence, fortitude, and commitment; the wisdom and discipline to do the right things and the commitment to see things through to the end.
Wisdom: The ability to discern the appropriate course of action to be taken in a given situation at the appropriate time. Prudence was considered by the ancient Greeks and later on by Christian philosophers as the cause, measure and form of all virtues.
Courage: Also termed fortitude, forbearance, strength, endurance, and the ability to confront fear, uncertainty, and intimidation. Powerful, valiant, brave, strong, sturdy, resolute.
Commitment: A sense of the importance of the matter at hand; responsibility, and being earnest. It is also translated variously as weight, dignity, and importance and connotes restraint and moral rigor. It also conveys a sense of responsibility and commitment to the task. One of the ancient Roman virtues that denoted "seriousness", gravitas was particularly appreciated as an ideal characteristic in leaders.
Theory in Practice: Theory and abstract concepts devoid of concrete experience and practical application are meaningless. We practice what we preach here. We learn best by doing. Whether it be practical exercises, training events, or competitions you'll get an opportunity to apply the principles and practices we teach in order to "win or learn".
This is a forum for Warriors led by Warriors who've been through the toughest situations, training, and education in the world. If you want best practices for embracing the Warrior Ethos, practical steps for developing mental toughness and fortitude, and the mindset for persevering under the most adverse of circumstances, you've come to the right place.
